Syneria is an international consultancy firm providing technical advisory services throughout the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects. We deliver added value to our customers by providing customized advice to optimize revenues and budgets, while ensuring full compliance with bankability criteria. We identify and mitigate potential technical and commercial risks based on deep understanding of project development, financing, construction and operation, combining our expertise with vast experience in dealing with different client risk profiles.
The Founders
The company was founded by three experienced professionals with a robust international track record in renewables and a background in development, original equipment supply, and consultancy.
Régis Decoret
Wind & PV Senior Consultant
Régis started to work in the Renewables in 2002, working for leading companies such as RES (2002-2006), VESTAS (2006-2008), Garrad Hassan (now DNV GL-2008-2012) and 3E (2012-2018). Over the years, he has gained a vast experience in wind resource assessment, technical due diligence, construction and O&M. Régis’ expertise includes wind, PV, biomass and hydro projects. He has worked in France, UK, Spain and Belgium and delivered projects in more than 20 countries, mainly Europe and Africa.
Pierre-François Drouin
PV Senior Consultant
Pierre-François started his career in 2007 working for a French developer where he first studied the feasibility of installing photovoltaic plants on the French overseas departments.
Between 2009 and 2017 he gained experience working as a senior consultant at 3E in Belgium and France. Pierre-François has been involved in all stages of a project, from performing technical and economic feasibility studies, to yield assessment, reviewing Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), EPC/O&M contracts, designs and construction monitoring, to commissioning and operational monitoring of the installations.
Pierre-François has been very active internationally with projects located in Europe and Africa. His references include flagship projects such as Senergy II and Malicounda PV plants in Senegal in which he was involved as a leader of technical due diligence.
Sébastien Sandmark
Wind Senior Consultant
Sébastien was previously wind team leader for Mott MacDonald in France (2018) and South Africa (2015-2018), managing and supervising the delivery of wind advisory services in France and Africa. Also, through these and his previous experiences in Mott MacDonald (Brighton, 2008-2011), Sébastien gained experience on projects in Europe, the Middle-East, Asia and South America. In 6 years, Sébastien provided technical due diligence and advisory services on more than 5GW of wind projects. In addition to his experience as technical advisor, Sébastien also spent over 7 years managing onshore and offshore wind farm construction projects for Vestas (2004-2007, France) and Alstom (2011-2014, Barcelona), now GE, respectively, giving him a valuable experience as contractor on supply and EPCI projects.
